Divergent sent me a Twin Head for the recent Head-Fi meeting. Out of all of the headphone amplifiers present, I personally found the Twin Head to be my favorite. It's like a "Super MG Head" with the same option of OTL and transformer-coupled outputs provided on the front panel w/locking Neutrik-style 1/4" jacks. It's an attractive but HEAVY beast, weighing at least 35 pounds. Even the remote is heavy. It feels like a solid chunk of polished steel. You could kill someone with it if you were cornered in a dark alley.
I didn't get to try the Twin Head in preamp duty, unfortunately. I think of preamp use as a bonus... it's already worth the $1,250 asking price as a headphone amp alone. With interchangeable 2A3's and 6922's, the sky's the limit on tube rolling. Joe Lau has done it again.
Absolutely recommended. It was painful to send it back...
