I bought one a couple of weeks ago. Last to first: yes it does have a remote volume control, but not remote input selection (the remote is a chunk of aluminum that reminds me of remotes of decades ago); it has four sets of inputs (single-ended RCA's), and two sets of outputs; heat is negligble compared to PP amps I've had in the past; 2A3 cost can be cheap (Sovteks are about $60 for matched pair); weight is high for a pre; obviously its available since I bought one, but it is just out and Divertech has been on vacation - they may be back. It easily surpasses my Cary SLP-50, and in the system I am using it in (Welborne Laurel IIX Ultimates with 300B TJ Meshplates, Adire HE10.1 speakers, Sony 9000ES/Sony XA777ES, andMarantz 8300 SACD players (I tried all three of my current players with it), and in the same system I like it better than my Emotive Erato pre.
The short of it is that I feel it is an outstanding bargain for the 1250 price, and I love the way music sounds through it - I find it makes music in my system sound amazingly involving.
