Thanks...makes sense 1 per channel. He did say he can make a very sweet amp out of the PP EL-84s. I saw a stereo console at the resale shop today that, by your description, was a SE 6BQ5. But it had a hold until Friday sticker on it(they are very customer oriented people there). I'll swing by Friday and check that it's actually picked up.
