Hi,The filament to cathode sleeve may actually work as a diode.
They do do have a high inter electrode isolation resistance (300k-2M) but have a look on the DIY-page you see this diskussed (and why one sometimes shall lift the filament above chatode).Nothing to bother much about, but the actually are diodes. Not primary or secondary function; but maybe a tertiary function.
