I've been very satisfied with a Conrad-Johnson Premier 17LS with my Martin Logan SL3s. The Martin Logans are very revealing and for a while my system sounded harsh and grainy with digital sources. Upgrading to the 17LS preamp helped greatly. Another big improvement was replacing the stock power cord on my XA-777ES with a PS Audio Lab II cable.
