ECC88s - are they genuine Siemens

Folks -
Is there any way I can tell whether I have been tucked up? I ordered a new in box matched pair of Siemens ECC88s from a UK dealer.
What has turned up is a pair of ECC88s alright, but no Siemens marks, just the moniker of the dealer. I called this morning to query the delivery. Was told -- "We use Siemens as our source, just put our own brand on them."
Is this credible? Is Siemens now selling unbranded valves made elsewhere? How do I tell whether they really are Siemens?
