Farben,I would suggest that you contact someone that has experience with the amplifier. That might be VK at BAT, or a dealer who has experimented with different tubes in the amplifier. It makes sense that the tubes closer to the front end will have more impact on the overall sound, but at the end of the day any vintage 6SN7 will sound better than the sovteks. As far as 'how much better', and 'better in what way' are concerned, there will not be a definative answer, there are too many variables. IHMO you should try and replace all the sovteks and try not to use the same tube the whole way through, make sure that you use the same tube in each position for both channels. I hope this helps.
