Hi,Another basic technique on "steep" valves (valves with high transconductance) was to use a cathodebias and then add a positive voltage to grid (relative ground, it's still negative to cathode).
In that way and deviation - worn tube or instability - is overcompensated by the "to large" cathode resistor.mvh /Pär
