I have just tried some RCA BP 6l6GC's and found them to be exactly as you describe Steven. Both in that they are far more cold sounding than I would have expected and when pushed, geez! I have my work cut out for me with going through the front end game and bias combos. Probably start with Tung Sol 12AX7's.Rick
