There were also some Amperex 7308 JAN's that were of the same era and a little later than the USN-CEP. They have white, green and red printing which probably indicates a time period for production that someone else may be able to clear up if I am wrong. Typically the white printed versions are earlier production (early to middle 60's) with the green and red late 60's early 70's. In my enviornment the USN-CEP (I have some from 1962) is the better of the group, I think it is better than the PQ of the same era. Of course they could be the same tube for all I know, just graded specifically for the particular specs of the order. Don't get too hung up on this tube by itself, unless you have the ability to bias the tube in your unit, you may not get the benefit. I suggest that you look for Amperex BB/Globe tubes as an alternative. They sound very similar with a bit more punch in my experience, are more common and are not as pricey.
