Trying to tell if these GE branded 8417 tubes maybe the more sought after Sylvania tubes. desription is:Matching date codes of 86-47 ..Government surplus (in grey boxes with matching codes on boxes). Same batch should be close match. Made in the U.S.A. DLA900-86-M-EU26 Two side getters.
I heard that GE did npt start making the 8417 until 1988 so anything before that labeled GE is probably Sylvania. Then someone "said" Kevin Deal once told him that the GE tubes were distinguishable by a series of random dotes in the code, which these don't have?
