A milky getter indicates a lost vacuum. It will occur in a matter of hours after the vacuum is lost and at room temp. A cracked or otherwise breached envelope is the usual culprit. A tube that has been driven really hard will also show getter discoloratioon but this is usually is a brownish color with rainbow fringes. Your tube is missing it's vacuum.
