Hey-Hey!!!,
Check out the Bottlehead page/forum. THe Schematic for the ForePlay is available with the instruction manual for assembling it. Bigger, higher capacity parts can be had cheaply. I built a similar one with that schamatic running 5687 tubes, Sounds brilliant. Made a few changes, but basic, simple circuitry is probably best. ran across a few others who posted using 6SN7. If you have transformer capacity, there are a whole bunch of tubes that use that basing, in order of decending gain, 6BL7, 6BX7, and the mismatched 6DN7, all share same pinout, but with different specs. THe FP circuit is pretty forgiving though and wil work with B+ betw. 150 and 200( htough caps get a bit more expensive and larger above 200. E-mail me off forum if you want, or jsut ask for more info with next post, I put several on Bottlehead's
regards,
Douglas
