The many knocks on Sovtek tubes are directed primarily at the Sovtek 6922 tube, and some others that are commonly used in pre-amps, phono sections, etc. NOS stands for "new old stock," and refers to tubes that are usually long out of production but unused, and when it comes to 6922 tubes "they don't make 'em like they used to." (See Joe's Tube Lore in the FAQ section.) But the BAT 50SE uses the 6H30 tube, which I understand is a new design that is (to my knowledge) only made by Sovtek at this point, so there would be no "NOS" tubes of this type.
