In an earlier post I was asking the same and I was told of another AA mate that he had a NOS pair of 7868's with Tung-Sol all over them. I am more curios as to why there are the two different shapes, one with pimple on top and one with it on the bottom. Even if the valve is turned upside down the shape is different. I came to the conclusion that therer were two different manufacturers of this valve. I am in the middle of buildind a stereo amp useing 7868's in PP so I will post results as soon as I have had a good listen to it.
