I agree .
EL34 in either ways is very nice sounding tube , specially the vintage mullards types
but the operation point is also very important .
beside this . I think all tubes amp need this , even a 300B amp need a good design to sound as it should anyway .finnally I think EL34 is a better tubes than any 6550s or KT88 .
but there's always KT66 along . that is also great tube .
