Just going through a few Mullard 12AX7's and I noticed two different date codes on the valves. One reads f92,B9E and the other have 162,B9l. Some of them have only two letters etched into the top line.
Does the difference in the markings mean anything when it comes to manufacturing differences as I have been told. Whatever the differences they are a very nice valve with an all round controlled smooth sound without any sharp cut of to the highs mids and lows.IMHO they are the best valve that I have used at this stage.
