I built the AES AE-25 (pre super amp with EL34's) and it is great. Top notch components and fine transformers that (I think) they wind themselves using a bi-filer process. Can't go wrong with the super amp which is what I should have got since you can roll various tubes , and I think it is single ended. Build it yourself, its a very rewarding (and mind absorbing) experience. I have my AE 25 hooked up to my computer and it's perfect for my office. Nice looking too. I cannot vouch for the other amp you mentioned. Have fun above all.Barry
