Yoyo,

I don't know who told you only "guitar" amplifier tubes would continue to be made. The KT-88 tubes made today don't work too well in guitar amps, so few amps are loaded with this tube. The 300B has never been put into a commercial guitar amp, that I know of & the 6SN7, 6SL7, & 7591A type tubes were used by Ampeg, in their smaller combo amps, from 1960-1962. That's it.

You can try to re-voice the unit using whatever the current tube which is available. By juggling caps and changing bias points you can voice the unit a little closer to NOS. It won't be perfect & the new Sovtek 6922 may not last as long as the Amperex 7038-PQ, but at least you should have a unit that sounds okay & access to new tubes.

The other, more radical option, is to have an amp tech change out the 6922, for 12AU7's or some other tube which is more readily available.

You might want to contact the manufacturer of your unit, with your concerns over the availability of the 6DJ8/6922 tube. Maybe, they may have more options.
