Having been interested in hifi for so many years and being "duped" by a couple of products based on looks and adverts/reviews, I am a little cautious. I listened to the new hybrid Unico 80wpc over the weekend briefly. Though it was not run in yet, I did not hear much difference over my old solidstate 50wpc QED amp in terms of warmth. But.. Ken Kessler gave a new unit rave reviews and I hear even Hifi Choice in the August issue gave similar accolades. I hope to see more response to your query as I am dying to know too...
