Hello, all; Anyone have real world experience with the new beam tetrode 6CA7/EL34 from EH? I know Sovtek made a beamie '34 in the early 80s, but with Mullards coming out the windows at the time, I never tried 'em. I talked to Ned at Triode Elec, and he said he lent a quad to a guy with a Marantz 8B, who reported favorable results. He also mentioned that he ran a quad for a number of hours at 700 VDC on the plates with no problem. (!!) Since I'm po' boyin' it these days, I'd like to hear more before I make the leap of faith.
