Tubes Asylum Questions about tubes and gear that glows. FAQ |
|
I picked up some amperex 12ax7a tubes yesterday and when i turnted them on there was a bright flash that then faded to a very dim glow, they where replacing procom tubes that don't have the starting flash and glow much brighter doring normal operation. Is this a normal with these tubes. I thought the tubes had blown when i first durned them on, but i decided to leave them on for a side because they where a definate improvement. Thought i'd ask if this flash was normal before i risked doing any more damage. Thanks in advance for any info
