Connoisseur Audio 7Watt 300B integrated tube amp with motorized remote

I wish I bought my camera that day so that I could post a picture, here,, but I'll cut to the chase. A friend of mine introduced me to the gentleman who designed his 6550 Tube amplifier. This guy just resurfaced in the Toronto Area called Howard Lee. He used to single handedly design and build a wonderful 50 Watt amplifier called the Soundtech ( http://www.audioclassics.com/detail.php3?detail=POWERAMP-ONE )

He is now repairing old tube classics (Marantz, McIntosh, Jadis) for a number of retail stores, but the good news is that he is back designing a new 300B Tube based amplifier that is being sold directly at his new store.

In a setup consisting of unfamiliar components:
7 Watt 300B amplifier
Mission Transport
Custom $300 Interconnect
Custom 21/2 way speaker

and familiar:
Kimber 8TC
Test CDs: 10 Song Demo; Carol Kidd; Cowboy Junkies; Rebecca Pidgeon; Jennifer Warnes;
ProAc Tablettes

I myself am not a tube head and mostly listened to stuff via my modded NAD 3020 (shottkys, tone controls gone, 8TC rewired, modded preamp gain section) and do not any experience with 300B tube amps. What I heard was an extended and detailed presentation at both frequency extremes (not 300B's fortee, I'm told) along with the full bodied lush "tube" midrage. On the "trinity session's" Blue Moon cut, I have never heard Margo Timmins sound as dynamic but natural at the same time. The demo room left a little to be desired but look of the amp (Three Toroidal black cylinders...each 5" in diameter and about 4" tall...flank the back of the amplifier) and finish compare with $4K units I saw at last years Audio Show in Toronto. The transformers and Tubes sit atop a brushed stainless steel chassis. The front panel has a on/off switch, blue LED, volume (remote controllable), and a input selector. Special Introductory price right now is around the $2,200.
I'm in no way associated with Howard (except via my friend who bought his 50W amp) but for those fortunate to live in Toronto, he can be found at the address below:
