Triode sounds better, push pull gives better bass, dht sounds better, ss sounds terrible, feedback is bad,....
All very general statements, politically correct perhaps on this and most other boards but not true. They may have a different sound in comparison to each other. That does not make any of them better or worse.
Everyone has an opinion, myself included.
Try for yourself and hear the differences and make your own decisions.
You may just be in for a surprise.
I have done my fair share of amps and topologies. I am presently listening to a 6h30 - 5v6 ul se amp with global feedback. It is certainly politically incorrect and opposite to what most people here speak of. There is no lack of bass here or unpleasant sound.
Quite the opposite, it may be somewhat too revealing for many though.My wife, who not only hears better than I, but because she in not interested or knows anything about the parts or topology says this one is the best sounding yet. I agree.
IMO do not rule out tetrodes / pentodes, feedback or anything else. They all have their place and something to offer.AB
