i use 6h23's in place of the sovtek 6922(nos). they are very close sound wise except that the 6h23's is a tad more refined and perhaps this makes it sound smoother, but i don't really find it that much warmer. now, compared to a new sovtek 6922, its much warmer. that tube, IMHO, is as cold as a well digger's proverbial butt.
