The large can cap only has to be replaced if the unit hums or the voltages are off (see joe curcio's manuel for voltages and how to check them). Get a Digital volt meter. As a rule of thumb don't replace everything at one time, one step at a time. This way if trouble arises you know exactly what step it was from. DO replace the selenium rectifier FIRST, the jacks in front with radio shack RCA jacks and the out of spec parts on the driver board with carbon film resistors and replace all the capacitors. On the board most people have upped the capacitance value-please check with others I have forgotten the value (think original was .1UF and upped to 1uf?). If you have any questions post or email
