Re: Anyone buy these 12au7 tubes lately?

Raytheon - depnds on thhe vintage. 1950's D-getter are great tubes, but can be microphonic with use. 60's onwards are usually (always) sourced from GE, maybe RCA, a bit later Japan or Korea. Not so good.

Kenrad never made a 12AU7. But occasionally you see a KenRad labelled tube as KenRad was owned by GE. These will be early 50's (usually 1950 to 1952) D-getter GE made tubes and are pretty good.

Siemns E82CC can be problematic. There are a lot of these floating around that are late vintage East European make and aren't very good. One dealer sells fakes. If they are genuine, it is a very good tube, it's more common to see them labelled 5814A or even ECC802S. Look for the telltale Siemens markings - 2 seams on top, one more prominent, circle with a number inside on the base, triple mica, etc..

In the case of good Raytheon or KenRad used I wouldn't pay more than $15 a tube. In tthe case of the Sieme4ens, maybe $20.
