The Supratek preamps are everything people have been saying. I have been an Audio Research supporter for well over 20 years. Have had preamps including SP10, 11, 14, LS5, 15, 16, 22. Sold the LS22 and rolled the dice and ordered a Supratek line stage, truly unbelievable. The units that are now being produced are using the Parfeed design. Unfortunatly the wait is long if you order new, I was quoted 8 to 10 weeks and it ended up being well over 5 months. Now that the wait is over, it was well worth it. The owner (Mick M.) of Supratek just won't be pushed, he either goes at his liesure or he has a ton of orders, not sure which. My understanding is he also does all of the design work on his preamps and amps, not sure how he finds the time to manufacture. Each one is hand assembled and tested by him. The fit and finish is not to be believed, the pictures on his web site don't do the product justice (as a lady friend of mine said, "drop dead gorgeous"). Good luck with your search.........Bob
