Just heard a pair of Maggies driven by a Rogue amp yesterday, and the sound was startlingly good. I drive even more difficult speakers with a pair of modified ST-70's in an average size room with power to spare, so 50 watts is probably plenty. Depends on your listening tastes. Do take the time to audition the amp/speaker combo you're considering. Some of the newer tubed gear isn't as mellow "tubey" sounding as some of the vintage stuff. Your preferences will determine the right combination. Good luck.
