Tubes Asylum Questions about tubes and gear that glows. FAQ |
|
I have collected several vinatage tubed amps based on the EL-84 and EL-34 output tubes. I find myself listening most often to my Dynaco stereo 70 driving my B&W N805s or Chartwell LS3/5as. I am only interested in the sonic merits of of each amplifier, not it's potential collectors value. Is it worth continuing to purchase additional vinatage EL-34 bsed amplifiers (Leak TL-25+s), or, is the Dynaco stereo 70 a very good representation of the sonic best available at it's time?Lance
