I would agree with your description of tube versus hybrid. The SP-3, 6, 8, 10 and 12 would be all tube designs. The SP-12 was a budget unit during the SP-8/10 days. The SP-9, 11, 14, 15 would be hybrids. The SP-11 was the first of ARC's hybrid pre-amps.
