Most really good SS amps I've heard are very "neutral" Fed a nice warm tube signal from a tube preamp is where it's at. As you work your way back from the speakers, you should choose componenets more and more carefully to get the sound you want. Good gear at the beginning of the chain will have its good qualities magified, and vice versa. Chris
