We have used them with speakers rated at 89db typically and it's great! I have one customer using 86db speakers and I was concerned, but he is happy as a clam. With anything 89 or higher you are on easy street typically, depending on if you are a rock and roller and room size.92db is a no brainer. Also...don't assume you will always run it in triode. I usually run mine in ultralinear for my own listening using Avantgarde Duos, though I think I am in minority on that one. Most folks like triode. But don't make assumptions!
