They'll survive in the heat, but the addition of a fan is a very good idea. Tubes and power transformers last much longer when they are kept cool. I typically add a fan to any vintage tube amps that I put into full time service.The picture is of my modified Dynaco ST-70. I know it's ugly now, but the Mullard EL34's and 5AR4 will last forever and sound good the whole time.
