I am wanting to know if I can connect my Van Alstine ST-70 for Triode mode without hurting it. I asked Frank, and he had a cow! Ned at Triode Electronics has said he does not know if the following will work on mine. Will it? Thanks a lot, Greg
1.Disconnect the wires from the output transformers to pin 4 on each EL34
socket, and tape up the bare ends.
2.Connect a 100 ohm resistor (anything 1/2W or more) between pins 3
and pin 4 of each EL34 socket.
3.Rebias the tubes.
