Biasing is really easy just follow the instruction manual. You MUST check the bias on the output tubes (the big ones) when you use an amp for the first time or when you install new tubes. Biasing means adjusting the voltage that is fed to each tube. Each of the 4 tubes is adjusted so they are all at the voltage recommended for the particular amp (50 millivolts, for example). All you need is a $15 digital multimeter from RadioShack.Upgrading the small preamp and driver tubes is cheaper and more effective than changing EL34s (unless they are really junk, or worn out), and you don't have to bias them. Have fun!
