They are probably Siemens/Halske tubes. They are good quality tubes and should handle higher plate voltages than a standard EL84. I have only used them in my guitar amp and not my stereo system. They are very clean sounding in my guitar amp and are very durable. I'm sure they would sound equally clean in a stereo amp.
