The best "thing" around IMHO is the Magenta ADE-24 from MARJULES. It takes the "Analog" output of the CD player and performs odd order harmonic distortion reduction in the analog domain. It really cleans up the "digital sound" and gives it a more analog feel. Another plus about the unit is that is not expensive (under $200). I like my unit very much and wouldn't think of listening to CD without it.
