The Valve arts will take about 3 full 24 hour days to burn in. Generally, they start out hard sounding, and loosen up a bit. They are still harder sounding than the svetlana by just a little tiny bit. But at the price its worth it to see how they sound with your speakers. I found that they had much more impact in the bass.
