A shill bidder is most-likely the same person as the seller, who wanted either a higher price or to keep the item(s) outright. So I would *not* expect a "winner backed out" email. The seller also could have struck a deal with someone who didn't want to participate in the auction.My case turned out to be a moot point, due to the shill bidder being outbid (by a legit party), but I hope you're right in regard to being able to get the tubes at the $99 bid price.
