I had used cary cad300se/signatures (11watts) to drive ProAc response 1 sc (89db/8ohm) to a comfortable listening level in a 14X20 room by setting the volume control only at 1/3 of its full scale. I am also a classical fan of both vocals and instruments. The key is whether the MA has flat impedance like the ProAc. However, I like my Accoustic Research 312HO (97db/8ohm) much better since it has a full body presentation. Be aware that Cary doesn't roll off on the top at all, the speaker matchs well with other soft sound amp may not be the ticket for Cary's 300B magic.
