you almost can't lose. I have no idea if these will work. They're probably no worse (or better) than another O-ring type gadget. I only have two tubes that are audibly microphonic and they're so bad nothing could help them. These are "SunMate Pro" O-ring washers available at Home Depot in the garden/hose area for $0.75 for ten. I don't know exactly what these are made of, but it's a very strong rubber compound. Not plasticky and hard like a hose washer. Fits nicely (not too tight, not loose) on tubes of the size of 6922 and 12AU/T/X7, for example. Seven or eight of these pretty much covers the whole tube, they're quite fat. My tubes of this size don't get really hot, but these O-rings have a "10 year unconditional warranty"...
