Many (if not a majority) modern tube preamps are built with a topology that utilizes a cathode follower for the output stage. Driving a 10K (or 9K...) load should not present a problem for any of them.Vintage preamps that were built before solid state amplifiers were common may be the exception as some did use a high impedance output. I have a Scott from the early 60's that has high impedance outputs only.
