Heres another area for concern not mentioned very much - the heater voltage. Make sure it is not too much over 6.3V. If it is up at 6.7 or 6.8, I would knock it down with low value power resistors. Many will tell you don't worry - this is uninformed thinking. High heater voltage can cause cherry red spots as well.
