A few things I didn't mention in the review and feel are very important.Biasing adjustment - It is very simple. Bruce supplies a voltmeter. You read the voltage at the speaker input. Should read as close to 0 volts as possible. There are 2 controls at the back of the amp, one for each channel. you simply adjust. Since I have made the first adjustment after a few hours running it hasn't drifted at all from the .01 volt reading. Output tubes are biased at 20ma and are capable of 90ma according to Bruce which means long tube life providing they get past the infant mortality stage.
Chassis Layout- The output tubes are completely separate from the circuitry and is actually on another chasis. The reason for this is to keep heat away from the circuitry and give longer component life. As a result, the large chassis. I really expect this amp to last a long time. It is very well conceived.
Heat - This amp idles at 300 watts. My ARC amp was much hotter closer to 400 watts. A notable improvement.
For folks afraid of OTLs and their reputation, I really expect that Atmasphere and now Transcendent will change the tide in that perception which may make more look into this design as an alternative providing the impedence and efficiency of the speaker matches. Not to mention Joule and Graff and the other players which I am not familiar with. The purpose of this review as much as to share my absolute enthusiasm is to spread the word to the doubting Thomases that may look past OTLs as an option.
