Got a couple sleeves of NOS Amperex 7308 White lable and they all play fabulous for me. Passed along a set to someone w/ Audible Illusions gear. They worked fantastic for him too. Then today when he switched on his Phonograph said there was some noise and his drivers started going crazy on him? I have never heard of this type of reaction from a tube before? I know how they can sound when they go microphonic, but for this type of reaction to the drivers, is this possible from a bad tube? Said they still look perfect internally? Any input appreciated.
