On Madisound/DIY speaker sites they just laughed you off, over here they will crush you if you try to vanguard BS them.Enjoy your search, but don't go into it with preconcieved notions that you have either heard of or thought up. Some tube based units sound wonderful, some sound bad, same can be said of solid state, just with many inexpensive tubes the speaker match is more critical than with inexpensive solid state.
And take it easy with the BW generator or this "Eddy current" will short out.
