6AC7 and 6J7/VT91 are interesting...

... if you do not have a negative preconception about pentodes.

6AC7 is a medium high gm 'low noise' wideband amp pentode - can be used as pentode driver or small signal gain stage - allowing to drive 2A3 or 300B in a similar way than with a C3m - though it will sound different. Single stage RIAA amps are feasible as well.

As for the VT91/6J7, it is a grid cap pentode of high Ri and low gm - not great as driver, but maybe interesting as a 'low noise' phono stage - steel bulb and grid cap will allow for an interesting amp design. With an Ra of 1 MOhms it allows for a single stage gain of 1000 - so it looks as if it was interesting to play with as well in a simple Audion circuit AM receiver...

The EF91 is a small, unexciting RF pentode - try pentode or triode small signal gain stages...
