Hi Matthew, the little amp may sound better than it's big brother. Is it (rm10)a triode amp? Sometimes simpler designs (less outputs) sound better than one with many output tubes. A SET for example only uses one, and IME they sound the best. The amp probably is a good deal but you should try a SET before you buy, they can really sound incredible if matched to the right speakers.
