Tubes Asylum Questions about tubes and gear that glows. FAQ |
|
I bought a used piece with original tubes and a solid state rectifier. The for the most part the sound is excellent, but a bit lacking in bass punch. There is lots of bass, but is sounds vague compared to the Rowland Model 1. How can I fix (or improve) the bass?
I checked out some replacement input stages, but they are too expensive for me now. (~$200)
My speakers are 2-way, 4ohms, about 88db, and are an "easy load".
I know how to solder, but that's it. What should I try? Thanks,
Herman
